My choice is happiness. Bad things happen, every day, to everyone. Sometimes we get caught up in the terrible news and lose track of the blessing it disguises. Sometimes horrible things pile up on really good people. I have a friend who just lost a parent, she spends much of her week helping care for her remaining parent with health issues while raising a teen. Just when she thought her stress level was maxxed, an out of control car drove through her apartment this weekend. I know many people who would look up to the heavens and ask why me? But her response was Thank goodness everyone is Ok. Life has not been rainbows and roses around our home recently either. Deans accident threw a wrench in our grand plan. I have been working a lot to keep up, and we have another health crisis within our family. Sometimes it is easy to dwell on these horrible things, you feel so overwhelmed that you want to wallow in self pity. That aint happening around here. Today, and every day I CHOOSE to see the good, I CHOOSE to count my blessings, I CHOOSE to be happy. Deans accident has given us time together that we have not had in many years. I am blessed to have a job that helps provide for my family. We are surrounded by love. And we have all that we need. Today, and everyday I will keep on the sunny side.
