My chosen charity is Feileacain (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Association of Ireland) (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death society of Ireland.) Reg Ch: 19635 Four years ago I lost my son, Joshua, shortly after birth. I was involved with several charities since then for whom i raised a lot of money. However, Féileacáin is special in that, they travel all over the country to create support meetings, they arrange for cold cots to be in all of the maternity hospitals and offer low cost counselling to people like me. No other SANDS charity does this in the same way as these people do. Féileacáin is run by a very small number of people who have all been affected by the death of their own babies. Despite the small numbers, they truly prove that if people REALLY want to make a change to other peoples lives, it IS possible. Without their devotion to the charity, I would not be half the woman that I am today. I want to thank them for making day to day life bearable, not only for myself but for so many other families that i have met since the start of my journey with them this year. They deserve so much to be commended for their hard work and dedication. Please consider them for this prize! Shauna
