My closing Argument, We need more brothers and sisters in the - TopicsExpress

My closing Argument, We need more brothers and sisters in the judicial system. Better yet, we need more brothers and sisters in powerful positions to help our Trayvons out there. We as black people march like King did which is a effective way of getting our point across, but that is not all that we can do. We as people can start being turned up for eduction, voting, and doing the right things at all time. I use the term "turned up" because that is what the rappers and our young kids are using now. First, you all know that those jurors knew who George Zimmerman was from the beginning. How can they not know him when his name was plastered all on the news nationwide for two years. Zimmerman lied about what he did to get the stand your ground law to work in his favor. My point is that Zimmerman hid behind the law. This trial was put on to ease the tension and give us what we want, but it was botched from the very start because they felt like it was another black guy dead. Secondly, Zimmerman did not want to testify. I agree that the prosecutors should have left his re-enactment video out to force Zimmerman to tell his story on the stand. We all knew he lied and even his lawyers knew he lied about the case. As a result to those lies, he is not guilty. If Zimmerman had took the stand, he would have been cross-examined and caught in his inconsistencies. Therefore, he would have been convicted. Finally, ask yourself my brothers and sisters about what we can do to prevent this from happening to our Trayvons in the future? Lets start promoting more brothers and sisters to be turned up for education to gain the power that we need to suceed in the fight for equality and respect. Stop them from laughing at us like they did Rachel Jentel who was the last one who heard the this child fighting for his life on the fatal night.
