My dad passed away when I was 4 and my bro was less than 2. Being a young widow, my mom single-handedly raise the two of us to who we are today. Being young, ignorant and no penny to spare, life was difficult for her but she never fails to support me in my studies. As a mother she fumbled and made mistakes as she learned to be a good mother. If God has redeemed me and given me a second life, my mom has walked through the valley of death with me on numerous occasions, giving me support in her own way that I know only a Mothers love for her children can give her the strength and courage to do so. Though timid in nature, she becomes a warrior to protect her children and transform into Hercules to remove obstacles trapping her children. Her life has not been easy. She has suffered but she remains positive. Her kind soul has made her a loving mom. Since young my only wish is to give her a good life. It was a simple yet powerful motivation. Life has become much better in these few years. However it pains my heart as I see her growing old. The thought of losing her one day sends shivers down my spine. I can only keep her in my prayers and spend as much time I can with her. On this special day, we dont usually have celebration but this year I decide to pen my thoughts down to capture my gratitude towards her. Live well, good health and stay happy forever to my dearest mom! Happy Mothers Day to all too!
