My dad shared this with me earlier, and I like to think weve all done ourselves proud in our anthem of becoming Charlie. This short except from Casa Blanca reminds me that there have always been ideological tyrants, and that maybe there always will be, but most importantly it reminds me of those of us who have shown the will to fearlessly stand up to their oppressors in the open with a righteousness of force, with a logic quite unexpected, with something as simple as a phrase of music, as simple as a work of art. I hope this continues and in the days to come we find the inspiration to translate our words into actions in the ways we all do best as individuals. Now is the time while the wheels still in spin. I want you to write, to speak, to film, to play, to dance, whatever it is you do best, and find a way to integrate your message into it. Find a way in which you can use your blessings, your talents, your freedom, to help make the world a better place. If you are Charlie as you say you are, then be not the victim whose freedom has been threatened. No, be the one that goes not gentle into that goodnight.
