My dad was a Painter/Decorator an astromony enthusiast and a veteran of the United States Army Calvary. He built his own 10 inch telescope and donated 2 1/2 acres of land to the Syracuse Astronomical Society of New York State. They in turn, named it Darling Hill Observatory where a plaque of gratitude was placed for my dad and mother. Even before his conversion to giving his life to Christ I recall him saying, many times; How could anyone look at the Heavens and say there is no God? Just a few weeks before dying of cancer he was led to the Lord in his bed by a missionary friend of mine. My mother was saved out in the Garden ,led to the Christ by my missionary friend. I could pray for them both fervently, tell my dad of this Jesus who changed my life and he would question as we talked for hours. Yet, my mother seemed to want no part of it. She would say; We have our own way! Even when others dont respond outwardly to our testimony of the Christ, we do not know of the wonderous works God Himself is doing in the human soul. Mamas favorite hymn was I Walk To The Garden Alone. There in her garden she loved so much was where she found her Savior and Lord. It was within 3 years fom my dads passing that she too went home. Unconditional Love Oh how He loves you and me ! Above all other measurements your worth is equated in highest value by the Everlasting Love of an Almighty Holy God who sent His son the Christ to earth becoming fully God and fully man, to pay the price for you and me. For our sin. His free gift of Salvation Eternal Life is reaching out to you today. Will you believe on who He is, what He did for you. You can not SAVE your own soul. All have sinned and come short of His perfectness. Only He is free of sin. Only He can give the gift of Eternal Salvation. The effects of this massive blast will arrive on Earth July 14th. It might be possible then to see auroras at lower latitudes than usual. — at lmage Credit: NASA (7/12/12).
