My dad worked for Bill Gardner Chevrolet and for those of you that were in high school in the 60s Im curious about something. It was the 60s and someone at WAHS (a cheerleader maybe?) ordered a custom vehicle and my dad brought it home to show us before delivering it. I remember the front looked like a van, but the back was like a pickup. It had a side tailgate that lowered like a ramp, couple of rows of bench seats in the back with an orange/white striped awning over those seats. Wish I could remember who the person was that it was for, but I was preschool or maybe first grade, but when I think of Alice in the 60s I remember that vehicle and how COOL it was!
