My database size is 5TB and its SQL2008R2 version.We want to implement data-compression stagey for huge tables which size is more then 100GB.I have read some articles and MS white papers regarding Data-compression,While doing data-compression & Decompression CPU and IO will be High.I have a doubt ,After implementation of Data-compression , while accessing Compressed tables CPU will hit High or normal .i want to know what are the drawbacks and benefits
