My daughter and I had an amazing day today with Equest Serbia - Equestrian Adventure Serbia! If you and your family are interested in horseback riding through the beautiful hills of Sumadija, I definitely recommend you reach out to Simona or her husband Nebojsa Neša at equestrianadventure-serbia.org. They can do a full day, overnight, or week-long horseback riding adventure for you and up to 7 additional guests. Today it was just three of us total; Neša took me and my daughter on a beautiful ride through the forest, crossing a small river, and into the hills through the Valley of Gruze in Sumadija. We rode their Balkans mountain horses at a walk, trot, canter, and gallop through the hillsides. Neša and Simona also arranged for our lodging last night at a very quaint little hotel with very friendly service. Bare, Serbia is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Belgrade. Simona, Neša and their children are absolutely wonderful. Prior to going on our riding adventure this morning, Neša took us to to see Vraćevšnica Monastery located 20km from Gornji Milanovic; the church dates back to 1428. We cant wait to visit them again!
