My daughter and I have decided to take Christmas ornaments of any kind and our kids in our life are decorating them for seniors in nursing homes. As of right now we are doing this for one assisted living home in particular, Sterling House, that has many residents with no family at all. Depending on the response we will branch out to other nursing homes/assisted living homes in the area. If you want to take on a specific location yourself please let us know so we can coordinate together so all are covered. Please anyone helping out have the kids in your life make some kind of ornament, card, whatever for the seniors. I We want to share some Christmas spirit from the kids. If anyone is interested in helping out with our adopted grandparent project, please let me or Ashley Stokes know. No one should be forgotten and the kids alway make the seniors smile. Items needed is any kind of Christmas decorations store bought or handmade that can be decorated by a child (maybe one in your life), small Christmas trees (small enough for a nursing home room), craft supplies, Christmas cards, and of course people willing to donate time and creativity.
