My daughter and I were discussing recently a concept called the EMASCULATION AND FEMINIZATION of African American males. That even our celebrity comedians have been seduced into playing a role in drag from Flip Wilson to Martin Lawrence. This humiliation, in my opinion, has been covert and NOT UNDERSTOOD by many of our people. Let me briefly explain. When a male child is born he is surrounded by females (nurses, then Mama, Grandma and Aunt so and so and cousin Louise. He then is brought home but the father is conspicuously absent after a few weeks. The child is nursed, held and kissed and taught through his formative and most important years of development by ladies. When he goes to get his childhood shots its by a female nurse, elementary school crossing guard is a woman, first teacher is female, he returns home to a single Black female parent who is there through his sickness and pain, who constant is sacrificing and providing for him through high school. He is trendy so he wears ear rings like Mama (now both ears), wear his pants under his buttocks, his dress becomes more and more feminine and influence by eccentric Black celebrities (Prince and now Wade and Cam and others) and the boy finally grows up to say, I WANT TO BE A MAN LIKE MY MAMA!
