My daughter and I were inside a japanese restaurant one day. We ordered ALOT. Shes 3 so we couldnt finish it all. Normally I would have taken the leftovers home, but I had been watching a man outside the window who was begging for food and it was lunch time. Everyone hurried past him and ignored him. So I asked the waitress to pack up my food and I told my daughter we were going to do something really nice for someone who was really hungry. She looked confused but then I explained how some people dont have a home, some people dont have family who loves them and some people have no food to eat. She looked sad, but then I showed her the homeless man across the street and I told her we werent hungry anymore and we have lots of food, she agreed. I then told her we were going to give our leftovers to that hungry man. She was very excited. When we gave him all the food he was so thankful and speechless. We didnt want to make a big deal about it so we just said youre very welcome and kept walking. Felt great.
