My daughter will not be going on the New York trip. I thought she would be upset, but she wasnt. The two times we went home, the end if February til March 3, she thought she was excused, but found out this week they had Fs down for those dates & shes been maintaining a 3.2 average. She stayed this week to make it up, but theres one teacher that told her she couldnt. The Avid Leader called tonight to work sosomething out, but she told Tia the teacher wont answer her phone. I was so proud of my daughter, her words were, Ma, Im more concerned about my grades than a trip to New York & I still would have to make up work for other teachers when I come back, so Im staying with u & it hurt when she said I know u cant afford it. I was asking around fir the funds, but I told her in this life we have all kinds of trials & tribulations & u just have to make the best of it, until God works it out & God is going to. She is used to ne having money, because I worked, but Im injured now have depended on the system, food stamps & $236mth check, but God takes care of us, not that check. Yes it is depressing, but we eat, have a roof over our head to sleep, we have transportation & my rent is based on income, lights & water is free. Until God turns it around, Ill thank him for my change, because its coming!!
