My days lately consist of waking up way before the sun even gets close to rise up, work-work-work, try to make some time with the family, especially Vivienne, catch up with emails, write new proposals, vegetate a bit and try to go to bed before midnight in order to catch a solid 5-hour of sleep. Certain things get prioritized, some get s forgotten. So, the last couple of weeks, my mind would bring up Aerosmith s Jennys Got A Gun song and a couple of notes in its chorus would bring up another song from the 80s. A song that I knew was coming from a prominent band and not a one-hit-wonder. While I knew that it was a hugely popular song, I could not remember any lyrics, I could only make up a few seconds of the melody and this would drive me crazy. I told this story to my wife, I hummed the melody and I added, as I was not proud of my humming, probably she would never guess it.... And she got the answer almost instantaneously. Now, you have to understand, we used to play a game guess which band/artist this is for years and while she got better at it gradually, she is not reserving a large part of her memory to musical knowledge.
