My dear Listowell, As a reader who has been following your posts - TopicsExpress

My dear Listowell, As a reader who has been following your posts on Awaambe Sports Academy since its launch some two weeks ago, an active BMY member and a Bulsa person interested in sports and its development in our districts, the Academy excites my curiosity. But somehow, the whole idea is still very hazy to me. You seem to be so excessively fixated on your personal profile that much about the profile of the project is still unknown to me. Awaambe Sports Academy may be your baby, but you still have to learn to separate the baby from the mother. When a baby is born, the focus is more on the baby than on the mother even though she matters. I have more questions than answers, and would appreciate it if you would provide me with answers (and I hope you don’t mind) to the following questions that have been nagging me: What, in broad terms, is the conceptual framework of the academy? What does this conceptual framework look like in practice? Where (the Sandema “stadium” apart) and which are the available physical facilities in Sandema that the academy needs to function properly? Who are on board as management and advisory body? Who, specifically, are the youth (sportspersons, girls and boys) that form (will be forming) the core team(s) of the Academy in; football, volleyball, basketball, athletics, boxing...? Are these young people still in school? As a successful sports journalist, and in your own words “one of Ghana’s respected media practitioners” and a football expert, you must know the importance of teamwork in ventures like the one you are undertaking or about to undertake. How is the collaboration between you and existing football managers and teams in Buluk? What form does the collaboration take, concretely? Is Awaambe Sports Academy duly registered at the appropriate ministries and tax offices and has the permission (license) to operate as a sports academy? How is Awaambe Sports Academy financed, or going to be financed? Apart from Latex Foam, do you have other sponsors? If yes, who are they? You mentioned being in contact with German football academies and clubs, which are these? I live in Germany, so it is not uninteresting for me to know how these German academies co-operate with an academy in Bulsaland, the place of my birth. How will your German partners be cooperating /helping Awaambe Sports Academy? How have our leaders, DCEs, District Assemblies, Chiefs, MPs and Upper East Deputy Regional Minister, Daniel Syme, responded to Awaambe Sports Academy? Since the Academy is based in the North Bulsa District, I guess it is of interest to Hon. Agalga, and I think he could even give you some legal advice, as a lawyer. Last but not least, how come information about Awaambe Sports Academy is not available your website? (awaambesportsacademy or awaammbesportsacademy) Don’t keep me, and probably others, guessing or filling in gaps with imaginings. As a senior brother, I’d advise you to steer away from the obsessive self-indulgence you have been exhibiting so far. It overshadows the real project. It’s good to know that you have travelled the world extensively, you have met FIFA President Blatter personally and that you have coffee with Supreme High Court Judge, Atuguba. However, Awaambe Sports Academy is what we want to know about, so place it in the fore! Tell us what you can do, how you intend doing what you think you can do and how all the stakeholders can work together to contribute to the development of sports in Buluk and to the welfare of our youth! Hard talk, isn’t it? Don’t expect me to join in the praise-songs about your person since you announced and launched Awaambe Sports Academy. If need be, I will do it at the appropriate time!
