My dear friends - I need to warn you about something that makes me very sad, angry and FRUSTRATED both as a person and as a businesswoman. I have been receiving some very strange phone calls for quite a while with the caller hanging up as soon as I answer. On the occasions that they have stayed on the line, they have been really rude. I had asked them not to call me any more and to take me off their register. But last night, I gave in and listened to what they had to say. Apparently three years ago, I bought some anti-virus products for my computer (from them - they had my phone number, the last part of my email address and my name). Apparently because I hadnt used the product, I could get a refund. BUT I had to log into my computer, download a share product and open my bank details on line (which I refused to do). The upshoot is - I do not want any of you to feel the embarrassment, shame and sheer idiocy that I felt when I realised (before it was too late) what these fraudsters were trying to do. It was two hours that I can never reclaim and which could have ended a lot worse than it has. As a business woman, it makes my blood boil - they have used an innocent party to access my computer (a company that is used for on-line conferencing). This behaviour causes people to think that all business people are out to get them. Its just sad. Just be careful is all I will leave you with.
