My dear friends. Today was a rough day for everybody who loves and admires Nick. His mother Mary and wife Melanie were here at the hospital all day, as well as Nicks Pastor. Today before they left, they were able to see him in ICU. As I was on my way back to see him, they advised me that he was a bit uncomfortable and he was given more sedation and pain medicine. So, it was best that I did not see him. (I do have some experience with ICU and CCU patients, and even though they may be sedated, they can still feel, hear and sense around them; this can elevate heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure. So, I definitely thought it was best he is left alone to rest). However, I still wanted to come and speak to the doctor at the unit. I spoke to Doctor Chung, and he spent several minutes with me listening to a few concerns and he explained about the rest of tonight and what will happen tomorrow. He assured me that he will be taking good care of Nick all night and that I could call anytime tonight and speak with him. He ended saying that Nick is SUPER STRONG and that he is confident he will pull through this just fine. Thank you Dr. Chung for understanding the LOVE of a FATHER.
