My dear friends and parents of FCPS students I regret to inform you that my offer to settle my case with FCPS was refused. I sent an email to Jamie Cannon saying this case could go away if Dr. Alban sent me a letter recognizing and respecting a parents right to refuse. Their response was a 1 inch thick pleading stating we have no such rights. FCPS would rather spend thousands of dollars we do not have than recognize and respect parents rights to educate our children the way we see fit. I cannot win this battle alone. I have no alternative but to seek expensive legal counsel. This fight is too important for all of us to drop it or continue with out legal assistance. I will be launching a campaign seeking donations to help pay legal costs. FCPS hopes to bully me into going away by forcing expensive litigation. I will find a way to carry on. I hope you will join me. I hope our local media will keep this issue front and center were it belongs. Bethany Rodgers We are not the property of our government!
