Our daughter Sallee is a competitor swimmer, swimming 6 times per week with the swim club Chena, located in North Vancouver. She is a positive role model in our community, If you had a chance to talk with her, she would tell you that she fund raises and helps homeless animals, participates in 4-H as well as keeping up her good grades at school and plays the cello. She also is a triathlon athlete, but her heart with swimming. When I told her the news that the NAIG cancelled swimming, If you were here, you would have saw the tears in her eyes. I wish the NAIG would reconsider and actually go through with the Swimming event. Sallee has practiced for the last three years, spending thousands of hours to prepare, to take this dream away from her, and other swimmers is unacceptable. Please help our swimmers and contact the NAIG to reconsider their decision so she can participate in this event that occurs every 3-4 years. We have paid for her to participate, the hotel rooms have been booked as well as I have been trained as swim official - Stroke and Turn, as had other swim parents.
