My dearest European , African and Asian friends, as many of you know I do not tend to write personal posts, neither in English nor in any other language, but this time (and this time only) I decided to do it. As many of you know we a have a war around here (no, not an Israeli ground operation, not an Israeli massacre of innocent Palestinians, we have a war against one of the most dangerous terrorist groups, HAMAS). As a person who lives under a threat of rocket fire for the last 6 years (just to remind you all, I live just 40 min away from Tel Aviv) I have to admit I am really tired. 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my little baby boy I was driving back home from work (just a typical lecturing day), while HAMAS decided to fire rockets at my home town. I had to drive for 10 minutes accompanied by the sounds of exploding rockets and the only thing I could do at that time is... absolutely nothing. It is frightening I must say (but you can never ever realize it unless you experience it - there are children here who are afraid to step outside, vomiting and crying all the time - post trauma the doctors say). And you can never count fully on the iron dome. It has already missed 13 rockets in my home town during the last 3 weeks, two of them very close to my house. So we do live in a constant danger and we endanger ourselves even more with all these humanitarian one-sided seize fires. Israel has never targeted civilians, but cannot avoid casualties sometimes, since HAMAS terrorists are using women and children as human shields. HAMAS are deliberately targeting our civilians, killing our women and children, terrorizing millions of people, but all you can talk about is disproportion. I am wondering whether your governments would sit still when rockets are fired at you and your relatives. I hope not. 2 towers went down in the US and a Great War against Taliban started immediately. So please... Do me a favor - try to understand millions of people who just want to live... We didnt start this war, we didnt want it, but we will continue supporting our leaders who try to end it in an only possible way - by destroying HAMAS. So just let them save us and finally #FreeGaza
