My defense of Maria Weese on Colorado Pols: Maria Weese and I have butted heads from time to time. This isnt uncommon: she is known to have an edge to her that may come from her familys background as Cuban exiles (I think she was exiled herself too, but somebody should verify that). So, to be blunt, I am not her biggest fan. That said, to compare her to Nate Marshall is grossly excessive. Weese was complaining about reverse racism, not distributing 50 copies of Mein Kampf like Marshall. Weese was pointing out that she disagrees with Obama and Mandelas economic philosophy, not gleefully contemplating African American deaths due to drug use. In short, Weese is just an occasional pain in the ass, not an outright stormfront racist. By linking the two, the severity of what Marshall wrote is diminished by association. That is not a mistake we should lightly make.
