My disdain for how local media will sometimes spin up a story is - TopicsExpress

My disdain for how local media will sometimes spin up a story is renewed this morning. KCTV in an article (that just aired yesterday) did a very good job at making every Rockfest attendee, and all of KC look like molesters and cheap feel champions. They used a video clip different than the one everyone seen which makes it look 10x worse than what it was because of the angle, and not just the very small pocket of a few people in the crowd of 50,000+. They stop just a nats eyelash short of just outright saying there should be criminal charges against everyone but are outright begging the girl to come forward to talk to police. This story has officially crossed the line of it being really cool that performers still know how to control their crowd, and pay attention to what is going on keeping everyone as safe as possible in a sea of people - over to the creepy, fear factor of dont let your kids attend rock concerts because they are all bad and evil. It was a very isolated incident. I was not there but everyone that was that I have talked to, is consistent in saying the few people involved went running for their lives after being called out. The other part is if you are going to hoist yourself onto the crowd and surf, male or female, you are going to be touched by other people. Whats next, the story that someone broke their arm in a mosh pit and everyone in the place should be charged with assault?
