My distinguishd Senators. I fullY share your concerns about how we hide behind the social media to be insulting those we hate with bitterness only because of their faith or places of origin. As we know hatred could lead to murder & worse. So you are on track. However Sirs. I recall how one of you told lies on the floor with the intent to cause same hatred between the two divides. This was when he told barefaced lies that the North controls 80% of the oil of Nigeria,which he knew was a lie just to instigate. Some editors started writing editorials on the issue as did some columnists on the basis of the Senators deliberate falsehood to instigate. Sirs, to the best of my knowlege, nothing happened to that Senator. He was never rebuked by the Senate for telling deliberate lies nor cautioned. A case of a Senator turning the chamber in to LIES MANUFACTURING GOODS. In as much as I agree with you that we need a legislation against those who hide in the social media to distribute hate words and tell lies, just to instigate, I also feel that Senators too need same law to stop turning the hallow chamber in to a place where they trade in falsehood just to equally instigate,as a Senator did sometimes a go. In this case Sirs put the Senate amoung those to be punished for manufacturing falsejhoo to instigate. I hereby move.
