My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their God, - TopicsExpress

My dwelling place also will be with them; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Ezekiel 37:27 (NASB) God promises to live in His people. God promises to be their God. God promises they will be My people. Do you believe these promises? God is God. People who place their faith in the one true God really do have God. People who place their faith in God are truly Gods people. God really does live within them. The New Testament writings of the Apostle Paul testify to this truth also. Following are two of those writings. Paul (through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) tells us that as the church we are the temple of God in 1 Corinthians 3: Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NASB) A little later, in that same letter, he says that the individual believer is the temple of God. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NASB) God lives in the church and God lives in individual believers. Heres the point: If God lives in us, Why are we afraid? Afraid to serve. Afraid to witness. Afraid you might offend. Afraid to give. Afraid to try. Afraid to do. Afraid to be who God calls us to be (light and salt). Think not? You say Im not afraid. Then heres some more convicting questions. How are you serving God? What are you doing for God, not you? Why arent you giving a tithe? When was the last time you purposefully, intentionally witnessed to someone for the cause of Christ? When was the last time you actually took a stand for what the word of God says about a certain situation or circumstance? Has God laid someone or something on your heart to try to make a positive change, but you just havent tried because its just too big, or complicated, or involved, or confusing, or frustrating, or ______________? God is bigger than all those excuses, all those problems, and all those reasons why we cant. God is the God of I can. God is the God of we can. God is the God of I will. God is the God of My people. You can! We can! You must. We must. God is with us and in us. With God all things are possible Matthew 19:26. As that great theologian, Larry the Cable guy said, Git R Done!
