My earliest harp. Based on a description in a late 9th C - TopicsExpress

My earliest harp. Based on a description in a late 9th C manuscript, it has a skin instead of a soundboard, and the strings are made from twisted horse tail hairs. the tune is Naofa Naomh Bríd (holy st Bridget) recorded in the collection of mar and Felix Whepple in1806, and dated by them as 11th C. I do not claim that my performance is anything more than a conjectural interpretation of a tune, or that the instrument is more than a conjectural attempt to realize a concept.
