My eloquent friend Bob White will have open heart surgery tomorrow. This wonderful gentle kite historian has done much using the simple joys of kite flying to inspire children to experiment to learn science, and making the memory of Alexander Graham Bell a living experience. But on a personal level, he has been a wonderful and sensitive friend, and both he and his wife Christine White (a gifted photographer) have brought incalculable joy to David and my lives. Please keep this man in your hearts.
