My epic Cemetery Circuit debut was almost a 24 hour event of over 100 laps of the Wanganui street race. A 5.30am alarm call was closely followed by my newcomers laps and then three practice sessions on both the Boyd Motorcycles KTM & Bruce Verdon McIntosh Manx Norton. Then three more qualifying sessions for BEARS, F3 & Classic Solos. Five races followed in very hot and humid conditions. Im pleased to say that I finished 8th overall in the BEARS Tri/Suzuki Series and 6th in the Classic Solos. The presentation evening was a corker as were the celebrations that continued until the early hours - making it an almost 24 hour event - if you count everything that made for one hell of a memorable debut Kiwi road race! Special thanks to Flea and the organisers and marshalls. To Boyd Motorcycles & Bruce Verdon for two race bikes that never put a foot wrong and gave me huge enjoyment. To Tracey & Steve Bryan for inviting me back after my first trip to NZ only a month ago. To Guy Martin for the electrolyte stuff to survive the heat. To Dave Morley for the short foot pegs and gear lever (to fit my little feet) for the Norton. To Croz, Brett, Tina and Gordy, Seth, Jay, Aaron, Daniel and all the amazing spectators! I had a truly brilliant day. Watch this space for my press release but for now here are a couple of images courtesy of Doug Cornes Photography and Craig Dawson. #racinginnewzealand #racingonboxingday #debutkiwistreetrace
