My family and I lived in an Athens, GA apartment complex back in - TopicsExpress

My family and I lived in an Athens, GA apartment complex back in the early 1990s. Our upstairs neighbor in the building was an Iranian statistics professor who (with his family) was participating in a faculty exchange program. He taught for a year in America, at the University of Georgia. Anyway, I got to share the gospel with him often. And I gave him a Farsi (Persian) Bible as a gift when he and his family were about to return to Iran. His Iranian replacement (with family) arrived before the Fall semester began. They stayed in our apartment for a week, until their apartment in another complex was ready. Just a logistical blunder on the part of the university. This next professor was even more eager to learn the gospel of Jesus Christ. Beginning with his first morning in our flat, we had many Spirit-led conversations about Jesus Christ. He didnt know, but when his year was up, I gave him a Farsi Bible too. I prayed about even the wrapping paper and card. I wanted to accent the Bibles holiness. When I handed him his gift (with my right hand), the day before he and his family returned to Iran, this next guy opened the card on top and read it. It had no hint about what book lay under the two different sets of regal wrapping paper. On the white card was an embossed mother of pearl-looking picture of a dragonfly. Simple and gorgeous. The man looked at me and then asked, What is this animal called in English. I replied, Dragonfly. He smiled, as though remembering. Then he looked back at me and said, In Farsi, its [ fill in the blank; I dont remember], which means, key to heaven. Michael, you just handed me the key to heaven. I smiled back and said, I think you just prophesied.
