My family burial ground is on a bluff overlooking the South River alongside Riva Rd. That portion of the property was sold well over 100 years ago. In the interim one of the owners placed a brick patio over the graves in front of the house complete with a flag pole and a great view of the river. I just wonder how many people sitting out there on a summer evening sipping mint julips and smoking cigars would still be comfortable,,,,,,,,, knowing they were sitting in a grave yard?
