My family has been affected way too many times with cancer. For privacy and space reasons I wont list them all, but my sister Gina and brother Curtis as well as my father in law all lost their lives to this terrible disease called cancer. It wasnt breast cancer, yet still cancer. I watched as all these people I loved dearly went through the torment associated with the disease and treatments designed to stop the disease. I KNOW posting a selfie with no makeup is nothing compared to what people battling cancer go through and wouldnt have posted one had I thought it would hurt any of the ones I love that have battled or are still battling the disease. It is simply a gimmick someone came up with to say hey its breast cancer awareness time. Im doing what I need to take care of myself, are you? Just a friendly reminder. I think about it like this, if someone thought enough of me to remind me to take care of myself, and I am comfortable playing along, I will. If you dont like what I post, you have the freedom and right to keep scrolling. Just like changing the channel of a television. If I offended anyone, especially my friends and family who have either battled or are still battling, please accept my sincerest apology because it was most definitely not my intent.
