My father arrived in San Francisco from Korea in June 1963 to begin seminary at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Va. I can only imagine what it would have been like to be travelling by bus across the U.S. that tumultuous summer as the Civil Rights Movement was crescendoing… His lifelong pursuit of racial justice and reconciliation is a constant inspiration to me.
