My father has gone through deeper, more unimaginable struggles than anyone that I know. Whats astounding to me is that there was never a single day, not a moment in my life that he projected that pain onto me. I know thats something he was afraid of and still is, but growing up I only saw the one consistent hero in my life, the one man that said things that made so much sense and gave me the principles I follow each day as my foundation. -He taught me to be patient. No truly great thing comes easily or quickly -He showed me that a real man is unafraid to show emotion. Although hes always been a stern man, he fought through that and told me he loved me every day -He taught me discipline. Play now pay later, pay now play later. -He showed me perseverance, that the biggest aspect of the path to success is failure. I wouldnt have been so willing to write hundreds of terrible songs without that, and without those bad songs I would never have written the good ones. Dad, I can confidently say that you showed me everything it takes to be a real man. I still got a long way to go, but Ill never give up. Love you dad. Your son, -Jhameel
