My father once woke up with tears in his eyes..I asked him what was wrong..he told me that it takes resilience and courage to stay strong..pretending to be ok when you are not, trying to be a strong man..a good father..he said its a survival technique he used with chemotheraphy trying to feel like you are better when the pain is killing you..putting up a brave face in the midst of a storm..Today of all days my friend I pray for those who live in a perpertual state of pretence and the fear of the unknown. those whose courage and zeal for life has diminished..those who pretend to be happy in or outside of marriage when every minute is a constant battle of trying to look happy..hiding a chronic illness bcoz they fear rejection, pretending to be rich..wearing expensive brands when they hustle and dont sleep due to the mounting debt.. owing people everywhere,..its a battle of the mind..pretending you are happy when loneliness kills your soul every day..may Gods Grace enter our hearts today and give us peace of mind and contentment for what we have, so we may accept our circumstances and hope for better days..allow us to live..it takes guts..
