My father was a creature of habit. Every single day of his life, - TopicsExpress

My father was a creature of habit. Every single day of his life, that I can remember, at 3pm exactly, he would come home from his work, change his clothes into his silk pajamas, yes silk, and completely turn down the covers on the bed , draw the drapes, and lay down and take a nap. Like clock work, every day. A restful nap, then after an hour or so, he would get up, make the bed, change into his regular daily clothes and his dinner would be ready. My father lived , in perfect health until 84 years old where on that day, he went to sleep and never woke up. He slept into heavens gates.......it was his daily prayer. Lord when its my time, let me just fall asleep. I need to rest more. I do not allow myself to sleep. Once my eyes close, my mind kicks into gear and all the worries, all the irritations, all the things I have to do come pouring in . I am recognizing the need for the body to rest. To sleep, to completely clear its memory banks and completely go into another place.
