My favorite day of the year is now just one week away! The Nike Festival of Miles is pretty much everything I love and care about in one day/night; I get to work with my wife and my closest friends all day long, I get to watch an an amazing night of racing (including from athletes Ive coached when they were kids), and I get to watch the running community come together to support the sport and to give back to an athlete in need. I read so many articles about how to make track more fun and they all say the same things; make the meets shorter, improve the fan experience, offer beer and gambling and create a fun atmosphere. I always think- weve been doing that for years (minus the beer and gambling although this year we will be offering a bunch of cool CharityBets)!! Anyway, cant wait to see so many old friends next week. If youre in Saint Louis on June 5th I better see you at SLUH at 6:30pm. In the words of Barney Stinson, its going to be LEGEN…wait for it…DARY!!!
