My favorite fabric shop has a whole bunch of new fabrics in. They arent a BIG NAME-----as a matter of fact, they dont have any name at all on the selvage edge. But this big bunch of fabrics all seem to go together in some sort of way. There must be at least 20 different prints---all in shades of olivey/brownish tones, dusky blues, purples, and little, tiny touches of greys and even bits of orange. Very, very country ground colors. Remind me of thimbleberry prints. Id like to get a small collection of them, but, not being a name brand fabric, I wonder if theyd be worth it. The thread count looks pretty good, but they are just saturated with sizing. Would you venture purchasing a small collection and trying them out?
