My favorite quote from my IAM-negotiated work agreement (because its not really a contract): in the event the Company decides to close a station/location or contract out work currently performed by passenger service employees, the Company and union will meet and confer at least 60 days prior to implementation to review and evaluate the impact to employees. UA PCE Agreement 2013-2016 p. 2-2. What does this say to you? (Hint: 28 UA stations are currently conferring with the IAM on pay/benefit cuts to meet or beat the vendor offers so they can keep their jobs).
