My favorite quote of the day... You are correct, liberty is a pre condition of capitalism. I consider liberty of the masses, their right to own what they produce a pre-condition of life itself, thusly, I reject socialism outright as an immoral system. Since true socialism is impossible and and defies human nature, allow me to concede that the same may be true of any market system such as capitalism. Liberty of individuals however has been tried and succeeded very nicely in as much as facilitating thriving prosperity. William Bradford applied liberty to a failing colony and it immediately thrived. I advocate liberty, I am not convinced that ANY market system is necessary and certainly see no virtue in any government insisting everyone trade according to a market system they govern. Individuals must be free to trade as they choose. In other words, if we are to be a truly moral society we must allow any form of productivity and any form of trade to be tried by anyone who wishes to participate, the only barrier and or boundary being that none may force anyone to participate in any system by force or by coercion - Douglas Wyman Sr. (me) :)
