My favourite hymn when I was a child, song number 222 in the Finnish Advent Hymnal. The song is called: Muista Jeesus-ystävääsi in Finnish (=Remember your friend Jesus). This pastor who plays the song here in the video reminds me of an old man in our church, Iisak Heikkinen, who used to stand in front of the church door before the sermon, and shake hands with everybody and wish them welcome to the church and a happy Sabbath. He had a little note book, where he had written down the names of all the children in the congregation, and their ages, and he always told us that he prayed for us personally. Muista Jeesus-ystävääsi, syntiemme kantajaa, Muista etua, kun saat sä rukoella Jumalaa! Rauhan usein menetämme, saamme tuskaa tukalaa, Aina luottaen kun emme rukoele Jumalaa! back-translation: Remember your friend Jesus, the one who bears our sins, Remember the privilege, when you can pray to God! We often loose our peace, and suffer horrible anguish, when we dont always pray to God with trust! original: What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. youtube/watch?v=lqfjB1ssno4
