My fellow Cast and Team Members, As 2014 draws to a close I would like to say something. I want you in this coming new year to do two things. 1) Spread love. I cant even tell you how much this simple gesture will not only increase your own well being but everyone else around you. Too often we get caught up in our own petty differences between one another. As opposed to preaching our differences, lets celebrate our similarities. If we are lucky we have 90 years or so this planet to enjoy every moment of it. When we are laying in our death beds many years from now are you going to be happy that you spent weeks fighting with an ex, harboring resentment for someone who may have slighted you, being angry at someones political post? No because we will be focusing on all the happiness we had in our lives. Reach out to people who are in need of a smile. Focus on spreading that happiness to every one you know. Whether it be family, friends, guests, random people you meet on the Publix line as you buy a delicious chicken tender sandwich, spread the love. I can guarantee you that you will leave smiling. 2) Pay it forward. This is even easier to do and somehow folks find it the hardest to do. Do something nice for someone. Not because you have to or because you owe them. Do it because you want to. It doesnt have to be anything crazy or extravagant. Just do it. When you do so watch the joy in their eyes as they see that someone cared for them at random. Those random things will fill you with a rare feeling. I hate getting mushy on a page dedicated to laughter but Ive been realizing much over the last few days as the years draw to a close. Laughter has always been the best medicine. Its always something that makes you feel better in the end. So perhaps its appropriate that I write this on here. Me and the rest of the team here at Backstage Humor want to wish you a very happy new year full of joy and wonder.
