My first private music instructor of 10 years (and the person who was there when I first put the clarinet to my lips at the age of nine) is very, very ill with terminal cancer. While hes at home and being cared for, his students and friends are left wondering what we could possibly do to express the impression he has left on us. Im grateful my friends at the Microsoft Jumpin Jive Orchestra invited me to participate in a tribute video they recorded for him last night. The MJJO is his baby and hopefully hearing them again will bring him some comfort.
