My first ride after the storm went through and my 2nd ride on my new arab Finn after putting my best mate Rangi to sleep 3 weeks ago. Im also still recovering from a head injury 6 weeks ago so been taking it easy. Had our first canter and gallop and crossed our first muddy sticky creek. This pic is taken going down the race on our dairy farm towards the mountain which is called Maungatautari Ecological Island. A fully pest proof fenced mountain that is home to many New Zealand native birds. We have been in drought conditions most of summer so the storm brought much welcomed rain and grass growth!! Location is a little town called Pukeatua, in the North Island of New Zealand
