My first times to see Bob Seger and Elton John were in the same year (1980) and at the same venue (McNichols Arena...no longer there) in Denver. Predictably, Seger rocked the house with Get Out Of Denver (which I saw Springsteen & the ESB do in Denver in late 2012), and Elton opened with Funeral For a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding. On a humorous note, the day that Seger tix went on sale, I had to work. I asked my dad to go to the local outlet for me; and he told me that the clerk cracked up when he asked for Barbara Seger tickets.
