My first week at home has been wonderful! I am feeling better every day. I am now free of all tubes, staples and on the mend. Was feeling a bit frisky so I tagged along with Brenda to Costco after a doctors appointment...bad idea! even though it was a short trip my body quickly reminded me I just had major surgery. I ended up with severe muscle cramps on my right side and spent a few hours in the after hours clinic Friday making sure it wasnt something serious. After some muscle relaxers and a regular dose of ibuprofen the cramps calmed down and I was able to get some relief. I was able to go to church today which was great to feed the soul, had to take a 3 hour nap after but it was well worth it. Next step is July 14th when I meet with my Oncologist and go over my treatment plan. Thank you all for helping me along this journey, Carl
