My foster dog Leia does this every night at bedtime. Shes waiting - TopicsExpress

My foster dog Leia does this every night at bedtime. Shes waiting for me to come to bed to snuggle with her. Unfortunately, I need to find a new foster home for her by Aug. 17th! Ive been accepted to grad school and am moving into an apartment in Toronto. I cant take both her and my own big dog with me. Do you know of anyone who might like to foster this sweet gal? Leia was rescued at 1-year old, and as a result has some anxiety issues. She doesnt like loud noises or a lot of commotion, so small dogs and kids arent a good fit for her. However, she loves big gentle dogs, and especially loves to wrestle with them! She would be great in a home with a childless couple, or a single person - especially if they have a big dog for her to become best friends with! She is house trained, crate trained, and is very low maintenance. She just needs some work with walking on a lead. She is very strong, so be warned! She is obsessed with bunnies and squirrels, and does like to bark at them, but as time goes on this is becoming less and less of an issue. She is very, very affectionate, and once she trusts you she wants nothing more than to receive lots of hugs. Leia has been treated for heartworm, but is expected to make a full recovery. She is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Animal Rescue of Kitchener. Both adoption and foster applications can be found at grandriverallbreedrescue.ca
