My friend Les Bennett posted this today and I thought it was so perfect I would "steal" it to share. Where was I? In my comfortable home, enjoying the freedom and joy of being an American. My husband called and said "You need to turn on the TV." My life has never been the same. Les Bennett thank you for putting my heart in to words! Where were you when the world stopped turning? I, like many are remembering this day. A day that America realized we are a target. Yes, a target of hate. I was at home; I was washing my truck when I heard of the plane hitting the first tower. I immediately turned the water off and proceeded into the house just in time to see the second plane hit the tower. I was in total shock. How could this happen to America? As you know the day got worse, a plane hit the pentagon, a plane crashed into a field. All of these attacks killed many innocent Americans. How could this happen in America? After my tears of sadness, I got mad and mad as hell. I get mad every time I think about 9/11. With that said, I want to take a moment to remember the 2977 Americans that lost their lives on this day of hate. I pray for their families. I will never forget that day. We as a nation MUST never forget. I want to THANK all those who serve each and every day; those willing to lay down their life for someone you do not even know. (Military, fire, police). Thanks to communication officers, who hear the screams for help, our true front line. I could not go without thanking the Doctors and nurses that also serve. Thanks to all that serve without fail, placing others before yourself. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 (KJV) It is time for America to Bless GOD and then GOD will Bless America.
