As many of you know, Sami had many complications from his bypass surgery. One of those complications included a lack of circulation in his left foot, leading to a severe infection. We knew at a minimum he would lose his toes. Despite the best efforts of his doctors and wound care personnel, Sami has been advised to have a below the knee amputation. There is one more consultation before the actual procedure, but neither of us really expects any other recommendation. Most likely the procedure will be performed Wednesday or Thursday next week. Please continue to keep Sami in your thoughts and prayers.
