My friend, Randall OBrien, often says, the Christian life is not hard, it is impossible. We cannot live it without the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul had the same idea, he said we are dead in our trespasses and sin. Not really a cure for that. Except – because of His rich mercy, God has made us alive through Christ. It is a genuine miracle! We know that is the basis of the Gospel, and yet, I wonder: do you live each day in the light of the Life that is in you in Christ or under the burden of sin and the pain of regret? If God raised you from the dead, surely it was to give you an abundant life. If God has won a victory over death in your life, what other great things might He have in store? If you are ready to live in the light of New Life, why not start this Lords day by gathering with Gods people and offering Him our praise, lifting to Him our cares, listening for a word from Him, and dedicating ourselves to the work of His Kingdom. At South Main Baptist Church - Houston, Texas, we call that worship. We gather to worship the Triune God at 8:30 and 11:00, if you cant come near, well live stream it for you at smbc.org. After all, that whole point of the Incarnation is that Jesus came to where we are. Perhaps He is is ready to do that again in you. . .
