My friend and I were talking about the Thermomix in Australia marketing debacle. We both agreed that the first rule is not to piss of your advocates . Fundamental error though is to rely on those advocates (everyday people) to spread the good Thermomix news and then break the trust by keeping new product launches secret from them and expect them to cop any flak. Thermomix is all about community. They have not shown any true support for their community by behaving in this way. I feel SO sorry for the 100s of Thermomix reps out there dealing with the aftermath of this. They shouldnt be in the frontline on this. The CEO should. Farrked PR and marketing. Extraordinary.
