We strive to utilize the arts as a way to spark necessary discussion and debate surrounding the persistent social oppression and inequality that exists in our societies today. POSITIONS Website Developer Responsibilities: - Develop a functional and user-friendly website with e-commerce and blogging functions - Maintain all operations that go through the website, including merchandise transactions - Communicate with staff to update website with current organization activities and events Expectations: - Has a vested interest in the work of I LOVE MY HOOD and shows dedication to hip hop culture and the arts - Possesses a basic concept of common sense - Is responsible and available to report to staff at least once a week Videographer Responsibilities: - Serve as videographer for I LOVE MY HOOD events, activities, and promos - Assist the director with editing and other related tasks - Assist with updating social media outlets Expectations: - Has some experience in videography and is able to fulfill the vision of the director - Has a vested interest in the work of I LOVE MY HOOD and shows dedication to hip hop culture and the arts - Possesses a basic concept of common sense - Is responsible and available to report to staff at least once a week Grant Writing and Research Intern Responsibilities: - Research eligible grants for I LOVE MY HOOD projects and activities - Coordinate with the supervisor to write and compile grant application material - Write proposals for community and collaborative projects Expectations: - Is able to work efficiently and independently, respects deadlines - Has a vested interest in the work of I LOVE MY HOOD and shows dedication to hip hop culture and the arts - Possesses a basic concept of common sense - Is responsible and available to report to staff at least once a week
